Top of The Bay....

What is better than a great seafood dinner on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon? Not much....The "Top of The Bay" restaurant in Warwick, RI is one of my favorites. The food has never let me down in all the years I have been going here and the sweeping views of the bay are incredible. If you have never been to this great establishment, do yourself a favor and drop-in for a great meal and some of the best views Narragansett Bay has to offer....

"The scoop"....really lousy fishing is the best description I have regarding the local Cod bite. Other descriptions from my sources have used much harsher language but you guys get the idea. Again, very hit or miss at this time of year and to add insult to injury, the seals made a nice showing on the grounds ruining several outings from what I was told. Once you spot a seal its over...they spook the fish and shut the bite down immediately. The only thing you can do is move along and hope they don't follow the boat...

Looks like the nice little patch of weather we enjoyed last week is also going the way of the bite. Oh well, it is winter and we do live in New England so its expected. Whats going to be great is when the nice weather patterns become permanent and those warm spring days settle in...usually mid April but every year is different so we shall see. More next week...
