Great opportunity for someone looking to break into the charter business. "FV Codzilla" is a federally documented "six pack" charter vessel. I have owned this boat for 7 years and have invested thousands in upgrades including a complete rewiring of the bridge this past spring. "FV Codzilla" is powered by two Perkins T6.354's which run very strong and sip fuel. The boat has never left me stranded or on the wrong end of a towline, very dependable Perkins power and inexpensive to maintain. Unlike other popular diesel engines, parts are readily available and CHEAP!!! I have kept this vessel on a rigorous maintenance schedule and have every receipt dating back to day one. Oil and all filters changed every 100 hours, impellers and cooling system serviced every other season. She runs cool, quiet and vibration free. This boat was set-up specifically for groundfishing and it has proven to be a perfect vessel for such. The stern is over 100 sq ft and laid out to very comfortably fish six anglers. Cosmetically, the boat still needs some attention topside and could certainly use some new paint, but overall a great boat for short money. The specs on the boat are as follows: Builder: Owens Concorde Division, Baltimore Md Hull: All glass, hand laid 1968. OAL: 33' / 37' counting anchor pulpit. HUGE OPEN STERN...over 100 sq ft. Twin Diesels: Perkins T6.354's, hours unknown, runs very, very strong. Federal Documentation# - 125989 Full Survey - Spring 2015 Hull: All new through hulls professionally installed 5 years ago. Boat is hauled, painted and re-zinced every season. Minor delamination on stb side professionally re-glassed by Narragansett Yacht Repair this past spring prior to launching. Rudder post and main shaft stuffing boxes all new and boat is very dry. Engines: Oil and all filters / fuel filters changed religiously every 100 hrs. New SS exhaust elbows & all new SS clamps front to back. Impellers changed every other season and raw water system is serviced every season using "Barnacle Buster". New Injection pump, injectors and turbo, stb motor last season. All mechanical, CAST IRON workhorse engines, simple and easy to access and work on. Very dependable and runs at 160 deg F all day... Sips fuel...at 1800 RPM's vessel can fish all day both sides of Coxes Ledge and back (without shutting down!)...10-12 hours on less than a $100 worth of diesel!!! (2) 150 Gallon SS tanks / 300 gallons total. Electrical: (2) new 8D, batteries this past spring. Battery area in bilge completely and professionally rewired by "Voltech's" marine electric. (2) New alternators, belts. Complete Bridge rewire, spring 2016...every wire stripped out and replaced, new 13 position panel installed with heavy gauge wiring, all labeled, all connections done with heat-shrink, professional and neat. Entire bridge runs off its own battery, isolated, but charges off the mains in the bilge. Done as a safety measure in-case bilge batteries falter or if there was a flooding situation. Everything professionally done by Voltech's...$10k in labor alone plus another $3k in additional electronics including a brand new 10"Garmin 1040xs Chartplotter, Class B AIS (wired to new Garmin), Sony Marine Radio, Amp and 4 speaker system with Sirus Satellite Radio. (1) 10"Furuno Navnet System (Radar, CP & FF) (1) JRC 3000 Raster Scan Radar (1) 10" Garmin GPSMAP 2010 (1) 10" Garmin 1040xs (New mentioned above) (1) Sitex Fishplot 10 Chartplotter (1) Furuno GP31 GPS (1) Furuno GP33 GPS / New, TD Converter (1) Sitex CVS 211 Chromoscope W/ two brand new ducers (50/200khz), both separate to minimize impedance and boost clarity for wreck finding. Professionally installed 2016 by Narragansett Yacht Repair. (1) Sitex water temp gauge on its own ducer...all new installed this year same as above. (2) West Marine, DSC VHF marine radios complete with cabin speaker and hailer speaker. Port / Stb running lights brand new (LED) Stern light brand new and rewired 2016 (1) Sea Marine VHF in main cabin (1) New Raritan Crown Standard 12v Masorator Head, top of the line in August ($1,500 just for the toilet)...professionally installed and wired by NYR New fuel tank sending unit and wiring 2016 All throttle and shifting cables replaced 2016 And there is so much more I am sure....have every receipt. The boat is turn key and ready for service. I would never sell this boat, have way to much invested...but, I need to move-up to something bigger as my business has doubled just this past season and I need more capacity. Its a great, great boat...solid, dependable and a "fish raiser" for sure. Been through some real rough stuff and she can take it like a champ.
