Inshore Cod, Sat June 18th

Took Jon Niven and friends out for a day of shirtsleeve Codfishing Saturday morning on the inshore grounds off the Block. Under near perfect conditions, we chipped away at the Cod all day. Although far from a "slammer" we did limit out after the late morning tide change. Nothing huge like the monsters we boxed on last weeks wreck trip, but respectable up to 12 lbs and we did lose / roll several very big fish that put an arch in the rod that only a "steaka" size fish can do!!! Overall a great trip and everyone left with several HUGE bags of beautiful white fillets and lots of smiles...Planning another trip mid week...more details coming this week, standby....
