Double Shift....June 25th 2016
Yesterday we did two trips....one in the AM and one in the PM...needless to say it was a long day. The AM trip was supposed to be a mixed bag trip but the great group I had on board (Robert, Keith, Keith Sr. & son Cory wanted to chase the winter king....the lowly Cod). With water temps climbing to 68 deg F (+ 7 deg from just a week prior) and east winds blowing all week I knew it would be a very big challenge to box even a "few". The warm water provokes the Cod to migrate

Sea Bass, Porgy, Cod & Mixed Bag Cellar Dweller Trip This Sat. June 25th...
Black Sea Bass opens Friday, June 24th and I plan to put several of them in the box on this Saturday's open boat trip. Will also be targeting Fluke, Porgies and some of the resident Cod around Block Island...put 30 of them in the box last Saturday so I know there are still some around...$125pp, full day trip, all bait and tackle provided. Great value for a private charter!!! Call, txt or email me to reserve a spot.

Inshore Cod, Sat June 18th
Took Jon Niven and friends out for a day of shirtsleeve Codfishing Saturday morning on the inshore grounds off the Block. Under near perfect conditions, we chipped away at the Cod all day. Although far from a "slammer" we did limit out after the late morning tide change. Nothing huge like the monsters we boxed on last weeks wreck trip, but respectable up to 12 lbs and we did lose / roll several very big fish that put an arch in the rod that only a "steaka" size fish can do
Recon Trip, This Saturday June 18th
Looking to do a "recon trip" this Saturday, June 18th. Due to the early AM flood tide and strong moon presence, I plan to throw the lines very, very early. $125 pp, full day trip with everything included...just bring your lunch and some beers if you wish. Forecast looks perfect and I plan to put some meat in cooler....Call, txt or email for more details. Thanks! Capt.

Epic Trip For FV Codzilla.....Monster Cod, June 15th 2016
"I'd rather be lucky than good"...its a common term I hear all the time down on the docks. Today we got lucky and the results were very good due to some real "stout" tackle and what I call "The Luck of The Irish". Dropped in on a couple of unknown wrecks that are off the grid...and the results were impressive. Prior to my iphone battery crapping out, I did get a few pics but certainly did not capture how off the charts this trip was...several huge Cod came over the rail an
Open Boat Cod & Other Cellar Dwellers Tomorrow, June 15th
Due to a last minute cancellation, I have a few open spots for Cod & other cellar dwellers tomorrow, June 15th. Full day trip (10-12 hrs), all bait & tackle included. $100pp. Email, call or txt for more information or to reserve a spot. You can also just show-up at the dock in the AM and jump aboard. 33 State St, Narragansett, RI 02882. FV Codzilla is on Dock PP, 3rd berth in on the portside as you walk down the dock...directly across the dock from the party boat Admiral F
Another Altered Trip....
Wanted to make our first run out to the ledge today, but it wasn't meant to be. Again....couldn't get enough bodies to offset the cost the trip. So...Bill and I decided to stay inshore and fish for Fluke. 20+ short Fluke, 15+ huge Sea bass, and 3 nice big steaker size Joe's (up to seven pounds) for the box. Kept lines in the water till early PM when the Tstorms finally moved through and drove us off the grounds. Looks like the first offshore Cod run will be this Tuesday.

Open Boat Cod This Saturday June 11th...
Coxes Ledge Cod trip planned for this Saturday, June 11th. Last week was cancelled due to lack of interest...need a minimum of (5) to make the run. The marine forecast looks good for Saturday and riding out on the ebb is always a plus. Plan to throw the lines very early (4:30 AM) and will be on the water for 10-12 hours or more if needed to put some fish in the box. $150pp...all rods, bait, tackle and even the ice is provided!!! Call, txt or email to reserve a spot....

A Change In Plans...
Was hoping to make my first run to the ledge this past Saturday, but it wasn't meant to be due to lack of interest. Need a minimum of four to make this trip so I will be watching the weather and hope to pull a crew together perhaps by the end of the week. As of this entry, I will be watching Friday June 10th - Sunday June 12th very closely. Tide-wise, Sunday would be the best of the weekend and if mother nature cooperates that will be my pick of the week. Despite our cancell
